CHEMICAL TANK CLEANING / CARGO SUITABILITY FOR VESSEL TYPE

We believe that the tank cleaning of modern chemical tankers goes beyond soap and water. Ever changing requirements and specifications are dictating that vessels are required to clean further and harder to load cargoes that traditionally were loaded relatively easily. Successful tank cleaning is a blend of experience and chemical knowledge and our role is to bring these two areas together to achieve any given goal, whatever it may be. Tank cleaning can at best be described as an imprecise science. Books containing tank cleaning secrets are worth their weight, but these books are becoming quite rare now and indeed as many of these secrets were developed before Marpol regulations were implemented, a good deal of this information has to be updated to take into account environmental concerns.
